The Ellsworth Community College Football program will hold two camps this summer. The Kids Football Camp will be held Wednesday through Friday, July 19-21, and the ECC Saturday Night Lights Camp will be held on Saturday, July 15.

The Ellsworth Community College football team took home another win this past weekend with a 23-20 victory over Hutchinson Community College. The Panthers are now on a three game winning streak and have a 4-3 record for the season.
Three Ellsworth Community College athletes received Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week honors. Nicole Nielsen was awarded the DII Volleyball player of the week and Ethan Barnett received the offense and Ryan Guthrie the defensive athlete of the week.
The Panther football team came to play on Saturday, Oct. 1 when they travelled to Glen Ellyn, IL to take on #16 College of DuPage. ECC won the matchup 21-7. Defense for ECC allowed only one touchdown in the game, which occurred in the 1st quarter.
The Panthers struggled in the fourth quarter and were denied a win this past Saturday against Coffeyville Community College. ECC was down only three points (24-27) going into the fourth quarter, but the Panthers couldn’t find an answer on defense as Coffeyville scored 4 touchdowns in the fourth for a final score of 55-24.
The Ellsworth Community College football team opened the regular season this past Saturday, Aug. 27, against Garden City Community College. The Panthers suffered a 30-7 loss.

Justin McNair is making his family proud. The son of Augustus and Kaynette McNair, the youngest of three boys, Justin was a quiet child who enjoyed his family and sports. He was “all boy,” with a winning smile and engaging eyes. He was always a favorite at his school because he was obedient and kind and tried to always do the right thing.
The Ellsworth Community College football team will begin its 2016 season on Saturday, Aug. 27, in a 1 pm game at home against Garden City Community College. The Panthers will be taking the field with new uniforms this season.
