Ellsworth Community College wrestling completed the team sweep on the road Thursday night.

The Panther women beat the Hawkeye Community College 24-14 while the men won 33-15.

Melonie Barillas opened the scoring for ECC as they went on a 5-0 run. The 103-pounder won a forfeit. They would never surrender the lead as Amara Ehsa (110) extended the advantage to 9-1 with a 14-4 tech fall. ECC's other winners included Julia Kanne (124) by tech fall, Meridian Snitker (145) and Cambree Howe (160) both recorded by fall.

The Panther men started in a 3-0 hole after a loss at 125, but quickly moved ahead 9-3 with a forfeit to Zahyr Cronk at 133 and an 8-7 decision by Tyler Roper at 141.

A pin at 149 for the hosts gave way to 18 unanswered points by ECC. Nicholas Fischer (157) took a freebie before Josh Berlin (165) and Giles Cowell (174) earned first period falls. The night ended with HCC taking a pin at 184 and ECC's Aiden McFadden booking a 27-second fall at 285 for the win.

Next up for the Panthers is the North Central District national qualifying meet in Council Bluffs. The women wrestle on Feb. 15, with the men on Feb. 16.
