IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- The Ellsworth CC men's wrestling team built a 20-0 lead against Iowa Western CC in their first dual meet of the season on Wednesday night, but the Reivers won the final 6 matches and took the dual, 31-20.

The meet began at 165 pounds where IWCC forfeited to Ellsworth's Giles Cowell.  Triston Barncastle followed with a tech fall victory for ECC at 174.  Then, Jose Laguna won an 11-6 decision at 184 pounds before returning ECC All-American Brent Greenfield pinned his opponent in 1:56 at 197.

Iowa Western started their comeback with a tech fall, followed by a pin, a decision, 2 more tech falls and a pin in the final match of the night.

The Panthers will wrestle in a double dual at home on Friday, taking on North Idaho and Southeast Nebraska.
