IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Freshman Brent Greenfield picked up a 1st period pin and Ellsworth won 3 other matches in an ICCAC dual meet with NIACC at Dittmer Gym Monday night.  The final score was 30-19 in favor of NIACC.

The two teams combined for 5 forfeits in the meet, 4 of them by the Panthers, who claimed 3 of the 5 matches that were contested on Sophomore Night at ECC.

Greenfield's fall at 184 came after he trailed in his match, 6-0.  A reversal by Greenfield led to the pin in the 2nd match of the night.  Action started at 174 pounds where ECC's Juan Isiordia used a riding time point to get a 3-2 victory.  After Greenfield's win, the Panthers' Isaiah Laguna dropped a 3-1 decision in sudden victory at 197.  Tegan Carson of Ellsworth was then defeated 7-5 at 285.

Following an ECC forfeit at 125 pounds, Kaden Karns dominated his NIACC opponent in a 13-0 major decision in the 133 pound match.  Ellsworth had to forfeit the next 3 matches -- at 141, 149 and 157 -- before the final forfeit was awarded to the Panthers' Diego Isiordia at 165.

The Panthers have a couple of ICCAC duals left on the schedule.  They will wrestle at Iowa Lakes on Thursday and then go to Iowa Central Feb. 1.  After that, the district championships will be wrestled at Dittmer Gym on Feb. 12.
