IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Ellsworth CC had 19 members of its football team earn places on the 2024 Spring Academic All-Region teams released by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.  The academic honor lists include the 1st team student-athletes who had grade point averages of 3.5 and above, and the 2nd team individuals with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.  A student-athlete's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or spring-semester GPA. 

Members of the ECC football team who are on the academic 1st team are Adrian Palos, Jaheed Marcus, Jayden Herbert, Joel Lacy, Steven Hirsch and Xavian Andrews.  Those on the 2nd team are Amir Nixon, Caliel Long, Cordey Taylor, DeAndre Rutherford, Jaali Parker, Kacen Boyer, Kendren Smith, Kevin Louis, LaBrian Carrington, Makail Wilson, Malachi Jones, Mason Walthart and Tate Glaspie.

Palos, Herbert, Lacy, Andrews, Taylor, Rutherford, Jones, Walthart and Glaspie were also on the 2023 Fall Academic All-Region teams.

Ellsworth Community College had a total of 114 student-athletes from 8 different teams that earned 2024 Spring Academic All-Region honors.
