IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Nineteen members of the Ellsworth CC footballl team were named to the Academic All-Region list for Spring 2021 by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference for their work in the classroom.  The first-team honorees had a grade point average of 3.5 and above; those on the second team had GPAs from 3.0 to 3.49.  There were 13 football players on the first team and 6 on the second team.

Those who earned Academic All-Region XI honors included:

FIRST TEAM -- Andrew Behm, Cade Flaugh, Donmonic Perks, Jagves Garnett, Kaden Bricker, Kevin Lukasiewicz, Liam Stone, Lucas Mitchell, Michael Lopez, Michael Moore, Moses Riehl, Tavian Hobson and Will Darden; SECOND TEAM --J.D. Czech, Malcolm Gillie, Miracle Alabi, Paapa Yeboah, Scott Hutchinson and Tajhmaine Bailey.

In all, Ellsworth had 90 student-athletes from eight different teams earn academic recognition.
