Ellsworth Community College fell 30-3 to No. 8 Butler Community College on Homecoming.

The Grizzlies built a 14-0 lead before ECC got on the board. With help of two face mask penalties, the Panthers got all the way down to Butler's 17 yard line. On fourth down, Logan Ward hit a 33-yard field goal making it 14-3.

Coming out of the break, the Grizzlies intercepted Yannie Scott just outside the red zone. In just six plays, Butler punched another touchdown in to go up by three scores.

Late in the third quarter, ECC started its drive on its own 3 yard line. Shaundarious Kimbrough was tackled inside the end zone by Ezekiel Robbins for the safety.

The visitors added one more score in the fourth for the final tally.

The Panthers are on the road at Coffeyville next week and end the season with a home game versus Independence on Nov. 9.
