CRETE, NEBRASKA -- Ellsworth freshman Melonie Barillas turned in a good performance in the Conner/Oppenheim Doane Invite on Saturday, placing 6th in the 101 pound weight class.  Barillas produced 3 tech falls and a pin in winning 4 of her 6 matches in the meet, which featured 23 women's teams, the majority of them 4-year schools.  Barillas's 4-2 record was the best for any of the ECC wrestlers who competed.

Barillas and her teammates will travel to Cicero, Illinois on Dec. 19 for the Morton Open.
