Four Panthers Named All-Region Volleyball

IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Four members of the 2023 Ellsworth CC volleyball team that set the school record for victories were named to the All-Region teams announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.

The ECC players on the honor teams are Ana Clara Cuartero, an outside hitter from Sao Paulo, Brazil, on the 1st team, Ludine Charron, an outside hitter/libero from Bretagne, France, on the 2nd team, and Natalie See, a middle hitter from Evansdale, Iowa, and Sofia Betteni, an outside hitter from Marillia, Brazil, both on the 3rd team.  All four are freshmen.

Cuartero led the Panthers in kills with 334 and kills-per-set with 2.85 as one of the squad's top attackers.  The number of kills was 5th for a single season and her 56 ace serves is 4th.

Charron topped the team in digs with 517 and digs-per-set with 4.42.  Her digs total was 5th in the single-season list as was her 48 ace serves.

See was the team leader in attack percentage at .316 and blocks with 61.  The hitting percentage for See was 2nd all-time at ECC.

Betteni tied for 2nd on the squad with her 227 kills and was 3rd in digs with 348.
