IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Securing their first postseason victory in over a decade, the Ellsworth volleyball team kept their season alive with a 3-0 win against Northeast (Neb.) CC Wednesday night at Dittmer Gym. The Panthers won 25-20, 25-16, 25-23 to advance to play at DMACC on Saturday.
ECC got strong net play from Ana Clara Cuartero with 12 kills, Sofia Betteni with 11 and Manon Morillon with 10. Setters Elitsa Peneva and Dallymar Panell chalked up 19 assists apiece. The Panthers registered 89 digs, led by Ludine Charron's 26 and 17 for Cuartero. Betteni had 13 digs and Panell 12.
The Panthers will take a 28-5 season record into the DMACC match.
