ECC Volleyball Gets Road Win at Iowa Lakes

ESTHERVILLE, IOWA -- The Ellsworth volleyball team went on the road Tuesday night and grabbed its 2nd win against Iowa Lakes in less than a week.  The Panthers, who had knocked off ILCC 3-0 in the NIACC tourney last Friday, saw the Lakers win one set this time, but came away with the victory.  The scores were 25-14, 22-25, 25-12, 25-17.

Natalie See had a strong match at the net for ECC, slamming 11 kills in 23 attacks for a hitting percentage of .435, and she had 4 solo blocks.  Ana Clara Cuartero led the Panthers in kills with 19 and Manon Morillon added 14 while topping Ellsworth in digs with 19.  Cuartero chipped in 17 digs and Ludine Charron had 15.  Elitsa Peneva recorded 33 assists and Dallymar Panell had 21.  ECC served a dozen aces with Panell's 4 and 3 apiece by Morillon and Peneva leading the way.

The Panthers, with a 24-4 season mark, host Northeast (Neb.) CC for their only regular season matchup on Thursday night.
