IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Six Ellsworth CC volleyball players were named to the Spring 2023 Academic All-Region teams announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.  The academic honor lists are made up of the 1st team of student-athletes with grade point averages of 3.5 and above, and the 2nd team of individuals with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.  A student-athlete's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their spring semester only GPA. 

The Ellsworth volleyball players who earned 1st team recognition are Audrey Melson, Louise Lion, Nuria Bravo Santos and Yani Diaz.  On the 2nd team are Alondra Acevedo and Dallymar Panell.

Of those awarded Spring academic honors, all 6 were repeat selections from the 2022 Fall Academic All-Region teams.  

ECC had a total of 101 student-athletes on the Spring Academic All-Region teams from 8 different squads.
