IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Eight members of the Ellsworth CC volleyball team were named to the Fall 2022 Academic All-Region teams announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference office this week.  The academic honor squads are divided into two lists: the 1st team is made up of the student-athletes with grade point averages of 3.5 and above; the 2nd team is those individuals with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.  A student-athlete's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their GPA for the fall semester only.

The ECC volleyball players who earned 1st team honors are Audrey Melson, Dallymar Panell, Dylann Stephenson, Katie Winter, Louise Lion, Nuria Bravo Santos and Yani Diaz.  Alondra Acevedo was named to the 2nd team. 

Of those awarded Fall academic honors, three were repeat selections from the 2022 Spring Academic All-Region teams.  Those three are Katie Winter, Louise Lion and Nuria Bravo Santos.

Ellsworth CC had a total of 115 student-athletes named to the Fall 2022 Academic All-Region teams in eight different sports.
