CRESTON, IOWA -- Led by 13 kills by Louise Lion and 8 each by Faith Lobo and Katie Winter, the Ellsworth CC volleyball team picked up a conference road victory on Wednesday night at Southwestern CC.  In its 5th win of the season, the Panthers won in three straight tight sets, 26-24, 25-20 and 25-22.

The Panthers registered a season-high .360 hitting percentage and had more than twice as many digs as the Spartans, 57-28.  Alondra Acevedo had a team-best 21 digs for ECC and Yanilette Diaz and Lion added 12 apiece.  Acevedo recorded 3 of Ellsworth's 9 service aces and Nuria Bravo Santos was credited with 32 assists.

ECC has split its first 2 ICCAC contests and will play its next 2 matches out-of-conferece, at Riverland CC in Minnesota on Friday and at home against the Wartburg JV next Monday.
