ECC Volleyball Suffers Narrow Loss at Northeast

NORFOLK, NEBRASKA -- The Ellsworth volleyball team was unable to complete a season sweep of Northeast (Neb.) Tuesday when the Hawks, playing on their home court, defeated the Panthers in three straight sets, all of which ended with a 25-22 score.  ECC had knocked off Northeast 3-1 back on Feb. 9 in Iowa Falls.

Haley Forge led the net attack for the Panthers in the return match with 12 kills.  Jade Galligo had seven kills and hit .316 while Katie Winter hit .600 and recorded six kills.  Meghan VanDePol and Vitoria Kazanovski topped ECC with 15 digs each.  Forge had 11 and Kaitlyn Baer produced 10 digs and added seven kills.

The Panthers are slated to play at Hawkeye CC in Waterloo on Thursday night.
