Ellsworth Volleyball Wins at Marshalltown

MARSHALLTOWN, IOWA -- The ECC volleyball team ended a five-match losing streak by beating Marshalltown CC, 3-0, in the Student Activity Center Thursday night.  In all three sets, the Panthers used a late-set run to secure the victory.  They took set one, 25-19, then won 25-20 in the next set and closed out the Tigers by scoring the final seven points for a 25-20 decision in the third set.

The Panthers had contributions up and down the lineup.  Haley Forge led Ellsworth with 12 kills, one more than teammate Jade Galligo.  Galligo had a strong match, hitting .381 and recording nine digs and three blocks to go along with 11 kills.  Vitoria Kazanovski had 30 assists, served five aces and registered 10 digs.  Forge had nine digs.  Kaitlyn Baer led the Panthers with her 15 digs and she served three aces.  Katie Winter produced two ace serves, Meghan VanDePol had 13 digs and Sydney Clark chipped in two blocks.

Indian Hills will provide the opposition when the Panthers return to the court this Sunday afternoon.
