Ellsworth Community College once again built a lead early and were able to ride that into a lopsided victory.

The Panthers (16-3) hosted Mount Mercy JV on a rare Thursday night. The two were scheduled to play the night before but a scheduling conflict pushed the game back 24 hours. The delay didn't matter in the least for ECC as they recorded the 91-57 victory.

In all of the Panthers 16 wins this season, they have shot over 30 percent from the floor. Against the Mustangs, they were 42.9 percent. The hosts quickly went on top and led 26-8 after the first 10 minutes. While Mt. Mercy did better in the second quarter, ECC was still on top 42-21 at the break.

The Panthers outscored the visitors in every quarter, leading 66-42 heading into the fourth stanza.

ECC shot 22 three-pointers and were 27 percent from downtown, however and they did commit 14 turnovers – but they forced 24 and the Mustangs shot just seven percent from beyond the arc.

Once again, everyone got to play and 10 scored. Leading the way was Marin Agustsdottir. She blazed her way to 21 points, two assists and two steals. Favour Anyaele was nine of 13 from the floor for 19 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. Ella Shara was also in double figures with 13 points and three steals.

Getting to the line 24 times, the Panthers made use of their free point opportunities and went 19 of 24 from the charity stripe.
