ECC Women Blast SCC

IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Ellsworth placed all 5 starters in double figures and got some payback for an early-season loss with an 80-55 rout of Southeastern CC Wednesday night at Dittmer Gym.  The game was tied once early before ECC got a 3-point bucket from Marin Lind Agustsdottir to take the lead for good.  The Panthers had dropped a 49-47 contest at SCC back in December, but were much improved in all areas in gaining their 11th win of the season.  They cut their turnovers nearly in half from the earlier meeting and shot 46.4 percent while connecting on 9-of-24 3s.

Taylor Ross led the quintet of Panthers in double digits with 21 points and she added 7 rebounds.  Favour Nmecha Anyaele and Laia Santanach each scored 14.  Anyaele collected a team-high 9 boards and Santanach drilled 4 of ECC's 9 threes.  Agustsdottir contributed 12 points and 7 assists and Ingrid Martinez Guillen scored 11 to go along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

The Panthers (11-15, 6-11) will play at Iowa Western on Saturday.
