IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Eleven members of the Ellsworth women's basketball team were named to the Fall 2023 Academic All-Region teams announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.  The academic honor lists are made up of the 1st team of student-athletes with grade point averages of 3.5 and above, and the 2nd team of individuals with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.  A student-athlete's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their fall semester-only GPA. 

Members of the women's basketball team who earned 1st team recognition include Bwanne Ciimban, Cailin Reimer, Ellyse Ball, Favour Nmecha Anyaele, Ingrid Martinez Guillen, Marin Lind Agustsdottir, Nile Celaya and Taylor Ross.  On the 2nd team areFabiana Nieves Martinez, Key'LaJaha Jefferson-Putman and Laia Santanach.

Reimer and Martinez Guillen were also named to the 2023 Spring Academic All-Region teams.

ECC had a total of 126 student-athletes from 8 different teams on the 2023 Fall Academic All-Region teams.
