Ross Leads Panther Women to Home Court Win

IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Taylor Ross scored 26 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead the Ellsworth CC women's basketball team to its 5th win of the season on Tuesday night, a 67-32 rout of Faith Baptist Bible College at Dittmer Gym.  The Panthers are above .500 with their 5-4 record as they now prepare for the start of conference play.

ECC had 18 assists on their 28 field goals, turned the ball over a season-low 11 times and had a season-best 18 steals in rolling to the victory.  They led 17-7, 34-18 and 49-24 at the 3 quarter breaks.

Ross was joined in double figures by Marin Lind Agustsdottir with 11 points and Favour Nmecha Anyaele with 10.  Anyaele also had 8 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.  Ingrid Martinez Guillen tallied 9 points and dished out 7 assists.  Fabiana Nieves Martinez, the other ECC starter, contributed 6 points and 8 rebounds.

The Panthers begin league play on Dec. 2 when they host Iowa Central.
