NORFOLK, NEBRASKA -- Northeast CC scored the game's first 10 points and went on to dominate Ellsworth CC, 90-47, in an ICCAC contest Wednesday night.
Northeast led 29-12 after the first quarter and 47-24 at the half as they rolled to the victory. ECC had trouble generating offense, scoring 12 points in each of the first 3 quarters and 11 in the final stanza.
Ingrid Martinez Guillen led 3 Panthers who scored in double figures with her 11 points. She also pulled down 6 rebounds. Andrea Aragon Garcia scored 10 points and Fabiana Nieves Martinez, the only reserve available for ECC, had 10 points and 5 rebounds. Shamika Maria also grabbed 6 rebounds.
Things don't get any easier for the Panthers, who take on No. 4 ranked Kirkwood at home this Saturday.
