ICCC Uses Big 2nd Half to Beat ECC Women

IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- After the Ellsworth women's basketball team held visiting Iowa Central to 20 points in the first 20 minutes, the Tritons erupted for 47 second-half points to record a 67-46 win in ICCAC play on Monday night at Dittmer Gym.

The Panthers still owned a 36-34 advantage in the 3rd period before Iowa Central used an 11-0 run to end the quarter and then scored 20 more points in the last period to pull away from ECC.  Ellsworth took a 25-20 lead into the halftime break and scored the first bucket of the 2nd half for a 7-point bulge.  But the Tritons put 47 points on the board in the last two quarters for the comeback win.

Key'Lajaha Jefferson Putman tallied 21 of ECC's points and was the lone Panther in double figures.  Andrea Aragon Garcia scored 9.

Ellsworth is at home again on Wednesday night when they host Iowa Western CC.
