IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- The ECC women's basketball team were defeated by both of its opponents in the weekend Dale Howard Classic, losing to Western Technical College, 83-66, and to Rochester CTC, 97-60.

Western Technical led the Panthers at intermission in their game Friday, 42-29, and then blew the game open in the 3rd quarter, outscoring ECC, 25-15.  The same thing happened in the Saturday contest with RCTC, Ellsworth down at the half and then outscored, 29-12, in the 3rd period.

Against Western Technical, Cailin Reimer and Ashjahnelle Wilson led the ECC scoring with 15 points apiece, Reimer making 7-of-10 field goal tries.  Wilson also grabbed a team-best 10 rebounds.  Andrea Aragon Garcia added 12 points.

Wilson had a big offensive game against Rochester CTC, pouring in 25 points and hitting 7-of-11 from the floor and 11-of-14 free throws.  Ingrid Martinez Guillen was in double figures with 11 points and made 3 3s.  Arleen Chanez and Shamika Maria both pulled down 5 rebounds and Key'Lajaha Jefferson Putman had 5 assists.

The Panthers are at home on Tuesday night to take on North Central Missouri.
