
MASON CITY, IOWA -- The NIACC women's basketball team scored 25 or more points in each of the first three quarters to build a comfortable lead on the way to a 94-53 win over Ellsworth on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers were held to 20 first-half points in the first meeting of the season between the long-time rivals.
Alyssa Civitak scored a game-high 19 points for the Panthers but nobody else scored more than 6. Civitak added 6 rebounds and Halle Miller led ECC on the glass with 7 boards.
Ellsworth goes to Cedar Rapids to battle Kirkwood CC on Thursday night before returning home to take on Iowa Central Saturday afternoon.
