IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- With a team grade point average of 3.20, the Ellsworth CC women's basketball team earned distinction as a 2020-21 NJCAA Academic Team of the Year.  And three players -- Halle Miller, Ellie Barrows and Keara Williams -- were honored as All-Academic Team members.  

Miller made the NJCAA Second Team with her GPA between 3.80 and 3.99; Barrows and Williams were on the Third Team with GPAs between 3.60 and 3.79.

To be an Academic Team of the Year, a squad needed a team GPA of 3.0 or better.

In all, Ellsworth had four of its teams garner Academic Team of the Year honors and 28 individuals were named All-Academic for the year.
