Ellie Barrows, from Littleton, Colo., recently signed her letter of intent to play at Nebraska Wesleyan University next year.

The guard will be leaving her name in the Ellsworth Community College record books. Her freshman season, she tied for second all-time in three pointers in a single season (82) and broke the record for number of threes in a single game (nine). This season, she hit 42 triples in 21 games and is now third all-time for her career and sixth all-time in field goals made in a season (136).

Barrows likes the idea of having the opportunity to place closer to home.

"My mom has always been very supportive and my little brother has come out to a few games too. They are very good about supporting me and I'll always be thankful for that," Barrows said.

Though her family was unable to attend the signing in person, they were there via FaceTime.
