IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- In a week in which they will face the two co-leaders in the ICCAC standings, the ECC women saw why Kirkwood CC is ranked No. 2 in the nation Wednesday night at Dittmer Gym. Kirkwood limited the Panthers to 10 first-half points and rolled to a 103-35 win. Ellsworth didn't get untracked offensively until the final quarter when they scored 16 points and actually outscored KCC by a point.
Leading the scoring for the Panthers was Keara Williams with 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field. She added four steals. Halle Miller pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
Ellsworth will go to Council Bluffs Saturday to challenge the team tied with Kirkwood atop the league standings, Iowa Western.
