Ellsworth Community College stayed close with Little Priest Tribal College in Iowa Falls on Wednesday, but a poor third quarter decided the Panthers fate and resulted in a 76-64 loss.

ECC trailed by just four points after the first quarter but that difference swelled to 44-32 at the half. The largest lead of the game by the Warriors came in the third, with the visitors up by 12.

The majority of the Panthers scoring came from two players. Ellie Barrows knocked down six three-pointer on her way to 26 points and Keara Williams tallied 23 points.

ECC then hit the road at No. 1 NIACC and fell 116-23.

There was never any doubt for the Trojans as they ran out to a 39-6 advantage after the first quarter and were on top 64-11 at the half.

The Panthers were just 7 of 50 for the game, and 0-13 from beyond the arc. Williams and Lorelle Dean each tallied five points.

ECC is now 0-23 on the season and 0-11 in conference.
