IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Eleven members of the Ellsworth CC softballl team were named to the Fall 2022 Academic All-Region teams announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference office this week.  The academic honor squads are divided into two lists: the 1st team is made up of the student-athletes with grade point averages of 3.5 and above; the 2nd team is those individuals with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.  A student-athlete's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their GPA for the fall semester only.

The ECC softball players who earned 1st team honors are Cheyanne Collins, Elli Han, Kierstyn Sutton, Lauren Brennan, Maddy Harding, Madeline Myer and Marleigh Sikes.  On the 2nd team are Emma Gordon, Jocelyn Hartley, Katelynn Hursh and Katie DeMaio. 

Of those awarded Fall academic honors, three were repeat selections from the 2022 Spring Academic All-Region teams.  Those three are Cheyanne Collins, Lauren Brennan and Jocelyn Hartley.

Ellsworth CC had a total of 115 student-athletes named to the Fall 2022 Academic All-Region teams in eight different sports.
