IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- With a team grade point average of 3.12, the Ellsworth CC softball team earned distinction as a 2020-21 NJCAA Academic Team of the Year.  And three players -- Kaysee Dale, Kailey Becker and Elienai Arroyo -- were honored as All-Academic Team members.  

Dale and Arroyo made the NJCAA Second Team with GPAs between 3.80 and 3.99; Becker was on the Third Team with a GPA between 3.60 and 3.79.

To be an Academic Team of the Year, a squad needed a team GPA of 3.0 or better.

In all, Ellsworth had four of its teams garner Academic Team of the Year honors and 28 individuals were named All-Academic for the year.
