IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Fifteen members of the Ellsworth CC softball team were named to the Academic All-Region list for Spring 2021 by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference for their work in the classroom.  The first-team honorees had a grade point average of 3.5 and above; those on the second team had GPAs from 3.0 to 3.49.  There were seven softball players on the first team and eight on the second team.

Those who earned Academic All-Region XI honors included:

FIRST TEAM -- Breanna Howard, Chloe Roberts, Elianai Arroyo, Gintare Paskocimaite, Kailey Becker, Kaysee Dale and Lauren Abram; SECOND TEAM -- Abby Harding, Chelsea Buck, Cheyanne Collins, Grace Gordon, Gwen Hovorka, Maggie Braniff, Meghan Danielson and Mya Mathes.

In all, Ellsworth had 90 student-athletes from eight different teams earn academic recognition.
