IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Ellsworth CC softball player Delaney Vetter was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Midwest Region team that was released this week.  Vetter is one of two pitchers on the NFCA's all-region 2nd team for NJCAA Division II schools.

The freshman right-hander from Mayville, Wisconsin, finished her first season of college softball with a 14-14 record and a 3.73 ERA for the Panthers.  She struck out 175 batters in 169 innings pitched and had three games with double-digit strikeout totals.  Vetter completed 21 of the 26 games she started and also recorded three shutouts and one save.  

Earlier, Vetter was named 2nd team All-Region XI and was the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the last week of the season when she excelled for the Panthers in their final regular-season game and the region postseason tournament.
