The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has helped Panther softball kick off the season on a high note with their Athlete of the Week nomination for February 17-23.  Sophomore righthander Katy Payne of Lexington, MI, earned the nomination for her performance against Simpson JV.

Payne threw all six innings available for the Panthers. She gave up just one run on three hits and one walk. She struck out three batters and got 15 other outs while seeing a total of 23 batters, contributing heavily to the Panther's first win for the season.

The Panthers will take some time off before playing again, with their next games coming on March 10.
