IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- The No. 8 ranked Ellsworth Panthers kept pace in the conference race with a 108-84 drilling of Western Iowa Tech at Dittmer Gym Wednesday night.  ECC is tied for 2nd in the ICCAC with Kirkwood and Iowa Lakes, all 3 teams are 12-3.  DMACC leads with a 12-2 mark.

Ellsworth used a late first-half burst to go ahead 49-36 at intermission in the contest with WIT and then poured in 59 second-half points.  It was their 5th game this season scoring over 100 points.  The rugged game featured 54 fouls and 73 free throw attempts.

Jaron Crews had his best scoring game since mid-November and led ECC with 23 points.  He also dished out 5 assists.  Chimobi Ikegwuruka, named the DII player of the week earlier, pumped in 22 points to go along with 15 rebounds.  Jordan Glenn-Hawkins scored 21 and had 5 steals.  Cameron Liggins also reached double digits with 19 points.  Ellsworth shot 49.3 percent from the field and 11 players scored.

There are 2 weeks left in the regular season and the second-place Panthers have a road game at Iowa Western on Saturday afternoon.
