Ellsworth Uses Strong 2nd Half to Blow Past Iowa Central

FORT DODGE, IOWA -- Ellsworth CC used a 19-3 run to begin the 2nd half to wipe out a 4-point halftime deficit and help the Panthers to a 92-75 win at Iowa Central Wednesday night.  Down 42-38 at the break, the Panthers came out flying to begin the final half and Arlandus Keyes drilled one of his 4 3-point baskets in the torrid start.  The Panthers won their 6th straight game against their rivals from Fort Dodge and stayed a half game in back of DMACC in the conference race.  DMACC is 11-2, ECC is 11-3 and Kirkwood and Iowa Lakes are both 10-3.  Iowa Lakes knocked off Kirkwood Wednesday and owns victories over DMACC, ECC and Kirkwood over the past 8 days.

Keyes paced Ellsworth with his 22 points, one more than Chimobi Ikegwuruka and three more than Jordan Glenn-HawkinsJaron Crews reached double digits with 11 points.  Bessanty Saragba snared 10 rebounds and Ikegwuruka 8.

ECC goes after its 20th win on Saturday, at home against Marshalltown CC.
