IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- In a matchup between two of the top teams in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference, DMACC built a 16-point halftime lead and went on to complete a regular season sweep of Ellsworth, beating the Panthers, 76-65, on their home court Saturday afternoon.
ECC couldn't get untracked offensively, shooting only 31 percent from the field, making 23-of-74 shots. The Panthers were 7-of-30 from behind the arc and connected on just 12-of-23 free throws.
After trailing 43-27 at intermission, Ellsworth could only make up 5 points of that deficit over the final 20 minutes.
Dior Davis paced ECC with his 13 points and he added 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Issakha Niang was the only other double-digit scorer with 11 and he led the Panthers on the glass with 9 rebounds.
The final regular season home game will be against Marshalltown CC on Wednesday night before the Panthers close with games at Southwestern CC and NIACC.
