IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Eight members of the Ellsworth CC men's basketball squad were named to the Academic All-Region teams for the Fall of 2021.  Five of the men's basketball players earned first-team honors with grade point averages of 3.5 or higher; three had a grade point average between 3.0 and 3.49 and were second-team performers.  A student-athlete's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their fall semester-only GPA.

The Panther men's basketball players on the Academic All-Region teams are:

First Team -- Mateo Martinez, Pietro Vannini, Richie Warren, Srdan Kopunovic and Tom Stanley

Second Team -- Adam McIlrath, Junior Bodden and Denneson Lucas

In all, 107 ECC student-athletes in seven sports made the Academic All-Region teams for the Fall of 2021.
