IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Eight members of the Ellsworth CC men's basketball team were named to the Academic All-Region list for Spring 2021 by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference for their work in the classroom.  The first-team honorees had a grade point average of 3.5 and above; those on the second team had GPAs from 3.0 to 3.49.  There were four men's basketball players on the first team and four on the second team.

Those who earned Academic All-Region XI honors included:

FIRST TEAM -- Antonio Alexander, Josh Kamara, Pietro Vannini and Srdjan Kopunovic; SECOND TEAM -- Davionte Culpepper, Jaren Kretzer, Jordan Kerr and Junior Bodden.

In all, Ellsworth had 90 student-athletes from eight different teams earn academic recognition.
