Adam Jackson Earns All-Region Honor

IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Ellsworth CC guard Adam Jackson capped his sophomore season by being named to the All-Region 2nd team announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Monday.  It's the second straight year that Jackson earned a second-team all-region selection.

Jackson, from Des Moines, led the ICCAC in scoring this year, averaging 22.8 points a game with a high game of 39 against Southwestern CC, one of five games in which Jackson scored at least 31 points.  His total of 479 points was second in the nation among NJCAA Division II players.  The ECC standout also averaged 3.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.4 steals.  He led the Panthers in points, scoring average, field goals, field goal attempts, 3-pointers and attempts, free throws and attempts, as well as steals and assists.  Jackson made 68 3s and shot 76.7 percent from the foul line.  In addition to his second-most points in DII, he was also 3rd nationally in 3-pointers made and 8th in free throws.

In garnering second-team all-region recognition as a freshman last year, Jackson had averages of 14.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists.
