Panthers Defeated by Iowa Western

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA -- Ellsworth suffered through a cold-shooting second half and dropped a 79-46 game at Iowa Western Saturday afternoon.  After trailing 36-29 at intermission, the Panthers were held to 17 second-half points and Iowa Western opened up the margin for the victory, outscoring the visitors, 43-17, over the final 20 minutes.

Three Panthers reached double figures in scoring, led by Adam Jackson's 12 points.  Josh Kamara chipped in 11 and Tony Alexander scored 10.  Kamara was the leading rebounder with eight.  Despite being held below his season average, Jackson is still second in the NJCAA DII ranks in scoring with his 22.3 ppg average.

ECC is idle until hosting Southwestern CC next Saturday at Dittmer Gym.  The Panthers defeated the Spartans, 73-55, earlier in the season.
