IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Thirty Ellsworth CC baseball players were named to the Spring 2023 Academic All-Region teams announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.  The academic honor lists are made up of the 1st team of student-athletes with grade point averages of 3.5 and above, and the 2nd team of individuals with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.  A student-athlete's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their spring semester only GPA. 

The Ellsworth baseball players who earned 1st team recognition are Brody Clark-Hurlbert, Carter Laden, Connor Cox, Dariel Colon, Daviel Camacho, Diego Dinzey, Evan Miller, Gabriel Monosmith, George Hansen, Jake English, Jalen Aguiniga, Jean Melean, Kaden Stewart, Kadin Bonham, Memphis Moore, Nick Chasey, Sergio Natera and Tressin Kussmaul-Heisz.  On the 2nd team are Alexis Ruiz, Carter Arends, Derihan Suero, Ethan Whitham, Hadniel Payamps, Jaden Morris, Jose Valentin, Kenyon Santos, Kristian Crespo, Logan Fragomeni, Tanner Short and Will Johnson.

Of those awarded Spring academic honors, 26 were repeat selections from the 2022 Fall Academic All-Region teams.  They are Clark-Hurlbert, Cox, Colon, Camacho, Dinzey, Miller, Monosmith, Hansen, English, Aguiniga, Melean, Stewart, Bonham, Moore, Chasey, Natera, Kussmaul-Heisz, Ruiz, Arends, Suero, Whitham, Payamps, Morris, Crespo, Short and Johnson.

ECC had a total of 101 student-athletes on the Spring Academic All-Region teams from 8 different squads.
