IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Thirty-four members of the Ellsworth CC baseball team were named to the Fall 2022 Academic All-Region teams announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference office this week.  The academic honor squads are divided into two lists: the 1st team is made up of the student-athletes with grade point averages of 3.5 and above; the 2nd team is those individuals with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.  A student-athlete's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their GPA for the fall semester only.

The ECC baseball players who earned 1st team honors are Alexis Ruiz, Connor Cox, Daviel Camacho, Ethan Whitham, Evan Miller, Gabriel Monosmith, George Hansen, Jake English, Jalen Aguiniga, Jean Melean Soto, Kaden Stewart, Kadin Bonham, Kristian Crespo, Mason Stenberg, Memphis Moore, Nick Chasey and Sergio Natera. On the 2nd team are Brody Clark-Hurlbert, Carter Arends, Dariel Colon De Jesus, Derihan Suero Ramirez, Diego Dinzey Rodriguez, Hadniel Payamps, Jaden Morris, Jordan Laden, Jose Valentin Linares, Kenyon Santos, Logan Smith, Luke Saxton, Noah Gallentine, Tanner Short, Tony Offerman, Tressin Kussmaul-Heisz and Will Johnson 

Of those awarded Fall academic honors, 15 were repeat selections from the 2022 Spring Academic All-Region teams.  They include Alexis Ruiz Connor Cox, Daviel Camacho, Ethan Whitham, Jalen Aguiniga, Kaden Stewart, Kristian Crespo, Memphis Moore, Nick Chasey, Sergio Natera, Dariel Colon De Jesus, Derihan Suero Ramirez, Diego Dinzey Rodriguez, Jose Valentin Linares and Logan Smith.

Ellsworth CC had a total of 115 student-athletes named to the Fall 2022 Academic All-Region teams in eight different sports.
