IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Twenty-eight members of the Ellsworth CC baseball team were named to the Academic All-Region list for Spring 2021 by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference for their work in the classroom.  The first-team honorees had a grade point average of 3.5 and above; those on the second team had GPAs from 3.0 to 3.49.  There were 12 baseball players on the first team and 16 on the second team.

Those who earned Academic All-Region XI honors included:

FIRST TEAM -- Broderick Bittle, Bryce Hall, Carlos Aranda, Charlie Jaeger, Diego Dinzey, Isaac Boley, Jacoby Endreas, Jason Moist, Miguel Baez, Nic Boscan, Ybrahim Quevedo and Zach Carlsen; SECOND TEAM -- Alex Bantam, Alexis Ruiz, Cade Armstrong, Edgar Andujar, Ezequiel Balderas, Fabian Dumey, Gavin Busby, Jake Kostenbauer, Javier Melendez, Jose Torres, Kainoa Torres, Lukas Reinthaler, Simon Victoriano, Trey Morris, Victor Lara and Zeb Wede.

In all, Ellsworth had 90 student-athletes from eight different teams earn academic recognition.
