ECC men get first conference win

Coming off the break, Ellsworth Community College faced the top ranked squad in Division II to start the 2020 portion of their schedule.

The Panthers traveled to North Central Missouri and fell 96-62 to the No. 1 Pirates.  NCMC built a double digit lead (52-37) after the first half and continued to pull away in the second with five players in double figures. ECC was led by Josh Donaldson with 22 points and Tony Eddy finished with 15.

On Saturday, Jan. 11 the Panthers traveled to Little Priest Tribal College in an ICCAC matchup. ECC was able to come back from an early deficit to defeat the Warriors 76-68 – their first conference victory of the season.  Donaldson led all scoring with 25 points. The Panther bench finished with 26 points for the visitors, led by Aaron Bartels with 12 points.

ECC (9-8, 1-2) is now tied with Iowa Central and Southwestern for fifth in the league – all with one ICCAC victory.
