Panther men take it to overtime

IOWA FALLS – Slow starts have plagued Ellsworth Community College early this season. One of those they were able to come back from. Another, they never fully found their footing. On Tuesday, the Panthers hosted Graceland University JV and won 101-69.  ECC used several scoring runs to knock out the Yellowjackets and had balanced shooting. All 15 that played, scored including four in double figures. Josh Donaldson led the way with 18 points, Tony Eddy added 16 and Tate Muilenburg had 15 in the win.

On Saturday, the Panthers were not so lucky. Though it took an overtime period to decide a winner – ECC fell to rivals Marshalltown Community College, 98-93. The Tigers were able to pull away with strong free throw shooting, including going eight for eight in the final minutes. Eddy had another big game, scoring 25 points. Adam Jackson added 23 in the loss.

The Panthers are off until Monday, Dec. 2 when they host Dakota County Technical College.
