The Ellsworth Community College men's basketball team opened the season 2-0 with wins over Bryant and Stratton College and Hibbing College at the Dale Howard Classic.

The Panthers defeated the Bobcats 96-86 and were led by Adam Jackson and Josh Donaldson each finishing with 16 points. Tony Eddy (15), Keaton Taylor (14) and Sam Urness (11) all finished in double figures.

On Saturday, ECC defeated Hibbing College 81-75. In that game, Eddy once again was the leading scorer with 16 points. Donaldson added 12, Taylor 12, Jackson 11 and Callan Blackley had 10.

The Panthers play at home again on Tuesday, Nov. 5 against North Central Missouri College.
