IOWA FALLS, IOWA -- Twenty-four members of the Ellsworth Community College football team were named to the Fall 2023 Academic All-Region teams announced by the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.  The academic honor lists are made up of the 1st team of student-athletes with grade point averages of 3.5 and above, and the 2nd team of individuals with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.  A student-athlete's highest GPA was recognized, either their cumulative GPA or their fall semester-only GPA. 

Members of the football team who earned 1st team recognition include Adrian Palos, Calvin Swinney, Franklyn Pache, Jayden Herbert, Joel Lacy, Joshua Eberhart, Michael Walker and Xavian Andrews.  On the 2nd team are Andrew Kral, Cordey Taylor, Damian Vongdeng, DeAndre Rutherford, Godgave Pelo, Jacob Hansen, John Tonrey, Keondre Woodard, Kyandre Anderson-Cobbett, Lucas Katayama, Malachi Jones, Mason Walthart, Paul Cramer, Tate Glaspie and Twanyea Smith. 

Herbert, Walker, Andrews, Rutherford, Tonrey, Jones, Walthart and Smith were also members of the 2023 Spring Academic All-Region teams.

ECC had a total of 126 student-athletes from 8 different teams on the 2023 Fall Academic All-Region teams.
