ECC mid-year football signees

IOWA FALLS – Less than one year in as the Panther head football coach, Mitchell Kleinschrodt has found success by having 10 players transfer on to 4-year institutions.

Mark Petry, an offensive lineman, signed with Syracuse University.  Petry started in all 11 games this season and was named All-Conference Honorable Mention. 

Jake Poetzl, a defensive end, signed with Southern Illinois University.  Poetzl started in 11 games, tallying 29 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, and 9 sacks.  Poetzl was named First Team All-Conference as well as Honorable Mention All-American.

Isaiah Bellamy, a defensive end, will be going to play for Western Illinois University.  Bellamy started 8 games for the Panthers and racked up 27 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss, and 1.5 sacks.  Bellamy was named All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Will Weidemann, a tight end, will move on to Southeast Missouri State.  Weidemann started 7 games for a total of 7 catches for 89 yards.  Weidemann was named to Second Team All-Conference.

Sydney Audiger, a defensive back, signed with Robert Morris University.  Audiger started all 11 games this season and totaled 40 tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, 8 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble.  Audiger was named Second Team All-Conference.

Caden Coulson, a Panther offensive lineman, will play for Missouri Southern State University.  Coulson started all 11 games and was named First Team All-Conference and an Honorable Mention All-American.

Mycheal Hamilton, running back, has signed with Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  Hamilton played in 7 games gaining 267 yards for the Panthers on 42 attempts with 1 touchdown for an average of 6 yards per carry.  Hamilton was named First Team All-Conference.

Ja'Quon Nicholson, defensive tackle, will play for Davenport University.  Nicholson started all 11 games and totaled 35 tackles with 9 tackles for a loss and 1 sack.  Nicholson was named Second Team All-Conference.

Nolan Bell, defensive tackle, signed with Missouri Southern State University.  Bell started 9 games, totaling 18 tackles with 1 tackle for a loss.

Cameron Bonner, offensive lineman, signed with Missouri Southern State University.  Bonner played in 9 games with the panthers this season.
