2019 All-America football honors awarded

IOWA FALLS – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has announced 2019 All-America Football honors. Ellsworth Community College had two players named All-Americans.  Cade Coulson, a freshman offensive lineman from Dubuque, IA, and Jake Poetzl, a freshman defensive lineman from Porterfield, WI.

Poetzl had 14 solo tackles for the season and 9 sacks with a total of 69 sack yards, earning him 15^th in NJCAA in sacks and 5^th in sack yardage lost.  Coulson was an integral part of the Panthers offense and helped anchor an offensive line that averaged 119 rushing yards a game.

Both Coulson and Poetzl received Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) All Conference Honors earlier this fall.  Coulson was named to the 1^st Team Offensive Line, and Poetzl to 1^st Team Defensive line.
