NJCAA announces football All-Americans

The Ellsworth Community College Panther football team would like to announce that Ali Shockley (Rock Hills, SC) and Naeem Smith (Iowa City, IA) have received National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American honors for their efforts on the field during the 2018 season.

Sophomore linebacker, Shockley, received NJCAA 1st Team All-American honors. He played for just one year for the Panthers but was a huge presence on the defensive side. Shockley was third in the nation for tackles per game with 12.4.  Shockley also received ICCAC 1st Team All-Region as well as All-Conference recognition.

Sophomore defensive back, Smith, received NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American honors. Smith played two seasons for the Panthers. This season he had 1.5 sacks, 6 tackles for a loss and broke up 4 passes. Smith also received ICCAC 1st Team All-Region as well as All-Conference recognition.
